The hand of an ARTIST.

One day I was getting my car checked for road security, the place was very busy, the sound of engines in the background, men talking loudly over the engines, I was at the car breaks section, this guy was shouting instructions to me: "now hand breaks" now the breaks! all this on that spinning wheel thing, next thing he was shouting something else at me, I did understand what he was saying, but did'nt understand the connection, to my breaks.

I bent forward towards the passengers window, while he shouted "it" again. The blank look on my face gave it away so he approached the open window and said: "Are you an Artist?" I looked around my car thinking that something might have given it away, a canvas or anything Art related, but the car was empty and clean. He pointed at my hands on the steering wheel and said "You have Hands of an Artist" now I really was blind sited and gave him that blank stare, "Sooo.... are you an artist?" I nodded with my head, looked at my hands not getting it at all.

But I Surely made he's day he walked off with a smile from ear to ear, nodding he's head saying "I can always tell an Artist by their hands"

My hands do not look pretty, my vains stick out and I have spots on them,
but they do have a form of elegance. Artists are touching paint, we some
times use our fingers to gentley spread the oil paint on the canvas. We work
the paint in the canvas with our fingers, it gives and extra smooth effect.
Abstrct artist may do a whole oil painting with their hands. But I've never
recognized an artist by their hands.
